A genre bender in the truest sense, he flashes an impressive repertoire of vocal styles, shifting seamlessly between dark, gritty rap-rock bars on tracks like ‘Crave’ and airy, melodic singing, as showcased on ‘Bullet Comes Out Loud. One consistent element across all of his tracks is the intense raw emotion with which they all punch. Having flirted with death after suffering a traumatic brain injury while training for the military in January of 2020, darkness, turmoil, and his fight for inner-peace are consistent lyrical themes on which Mick leans. Through his recovery, the keyboard and microphone became his most reliable therapy, and it’s this authenticity that makes his sounds so gripping. Mick feels like he is just lucky to be here everyday and lives each day as hard as he possibly can. He released his debut EP CRAVE last november, following it up with his single Fly Low. After SXSW and his show at Spiderhouse Ballroom in Austin, he took time off to finish music that he describes as every emotion he wanted to capture.
